ICELAND – The Icelandic group that participated in Eurovision in Israel is returning home to Iceland. The group arrived at the airport in Tel Aviv this morning and did not encounter any problems.
Klemens Hannigan was actually called into the airport’s intercom this morning. However, the mission was merely to request explanations of the existence of sewing machines in a suitcase that was labeled with him.
Just before eight o’clock the group was aboard the plane that was about to go into the air.
Yesterday, Madonna’s dancer was stopped and interrogated as she was with the Palestinian flag behind the Eurovision singer’s item. No such thing happened to Hatari and others in the group. The only subject matter of airport staff was overweight, and so the sewing machine they were surprised to find in a suitcase.
The trip is now being held to London and then on to Iceland.
BUT Israeli airline El Al seems to deliberately have given Hatari the โworstโ seats. The band were placed in middle seats and split up on the first leg of their journey home: a flight from Ben Gurion airpot to London.
