ROMANIA – TVR is gearing up its national selection for next February and Aldo Blaga is one of the participants in Selecţia Naţională.
Through oikotimes, the Romanian artist sends his video message throughout the Eurovision fandom, something for which we thank him very much. You can watch the video here and learn more about the artists in the following bio. You can also listen to his bid song in this post.
Aldo Blaga has been spinning around music since he started speaking his first words. His music venture begins at the age of 4 winning a kid’s singing competition. At the age of 7, he started the piano and at the age of 11, the clarinet. His vocal revolution started at the age of 19.
His journey so far has been sprinkled with trials of all kinds, roads of all lengths, people of all beliefs, cultures and colours – but one thing became clearer to him than ever before: HUMANITY is in all of US! People will tell you about career, life, family … about their hardships and joys, but one thing unites us all in Life – the LOVE for MUSIC! Or why not just LOVE in general?!
In 2006 he started composing songs and a year later he explored the musical culture of the US. In 2009 he started his own band and in 2010 a new trip to the USA gave him the opportunity to sing with the Bill Porter Orchestra as well as other greats of jazz music in Chicago and New York.
In 2011 he participated in THE VOICE OF ROMANIA reaching almost the semi-finals and five years later he entered the X-FACTOR ROMANIA, entering the boot camp.
In December of 2016 he organized his first Charity Concert called “United, We give …The Joy of Christmas” and at the same time with this major milestone in his life comes the decision to dedicate his Debut Album as well as 50% of the proceeds generated by this concerts and sales to charity and humanitarian causes alike.
In the Romanian national selection, he bids with the song EMBERS (yes, we all know the title very well from the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest) penned by Ylva Persson, Linda Persson, Rickard Bonde Truumeel (Bond Music), Charlie Mason, John Matthews.
