UNITED STATES – Not even the first of the two semifinals of the American Song Contest, which aired last night in the United States of America on NBC, seems to have had any effect on ratings, which are further declining.
The US spin-off of the Eurovision Song Contest, last night was followed in the two hours of a live broadcast by 1,438,000 spectators (rating at 0.27%).
Listening to the rerun on Sunday evening at 7 pm (where the previous Monday show is re-proposed), was equal to 900,000 spectators (rating of 0.14%).
We remind you, as always, that the rating refers to the 18-49 age group, which is the commercial target of reference in the United States of America, the one most coveted by advertisers.
Here are the ratings obtained so far, night by night:
- 2,899,000 spectators on March 21st
- 1,878,000 spectators on 28 March
- 1,654,000 spectators on April 4th
- 1,440,000 spectators on 11 April
- 1,534,000 spectators on April 18
- 1,438,000 spectators on April 25th.
As usual, competing in the American Song Contest was the appointment with American Idol (followed by 5,823,000 viewers on ABC, a rating of 0.72%), which recorded an increase of over 250,000 viewers compared to last week.
On other networks: the TV series “911” on FOX entertained 5,076,000 spectators (rating 0.68%) from 8 pm to 9 pm. of 0.62%).
On CBS, the program “The Price Is Right At Night” was followed from 8 pm to 9 pm by 4,364,000 spectators (rating of 0.61%). Following from 9 pm to 10 pm, the rerun of “NCIS” with 3,778,000 spectators (rating of 0.31%).
The next appointments with the American Song Contest 2022: the second semifinal will be held on Monday 2 May, followed by the final on Monday 9 May, when the winning song will be elected as “Best Original Song”.
