UNITED STATES – We got Justin Jesso, the representative of Illinois, who is currently in Florida for a friend’s wedding and a music festival (Ultra) and we chatted with this amazing musician who’s definitely not unknown or a newcomer as he is an established singer.
As you can see in the video we weren’t just the two of us as Elvis joined us and he was a pure gentleman not making a single noise or reaction during the interview other than cuddling with his “dad”.
The singer and songwriter Justin Jesso have made a name for himself writing for superstars like Kygo, Ricky Martin, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, and even the Backstreet Boys! Not only as a songwriter, but also a vocal artist, the universe has clearly sided with Justin Jesso:
His hit single, โStargazingโ with legendary artist Kygo, has garnered him hundreds of millions of streams, views, gold and platinum certifications in countries all across the world, and even a Grammy nomination!
But there comes a time in many a songwriterโs life, where he or she begins feeling like some songs, they simply canโt give away for others to sing. (โSong babiesโ, as the LA resident lovingly refers to those pieces.)
And why should you, when youโve not only been blessed with a talent to write, but also an amazingly melodic singing voice, an outstanding stage presence, and a personality thatโs winning over the hearts of fans and followers on social media?
After releasing his recent hit single โClarityโ like the one in a series of more soon to be released tracks, Justin Jesso will now release a new song called โ400 Trillionโ on March 11th Justin Jesso aboutโ400 Trillionโ:
โ400 Trillionโ is about how lucky we are to be alive, let alone find love of any kind love. I saw a statistic online about how the odds of being born are one and 400 trillion. Imagine the odds of finding someone to love unconditionally whether that is family or a significant other. Finding love against those odds makes it feel like an almost impossible task and we should celebrate that.
In this video interview, Mr Illinois 2022 representative said some interesting things which we highlight below:
- He is the composer of Michael Bolton’s song and he is also participating in the contest (surprised? Nah, in the USA they don’t have any problem with that unlike our European moaning when a composer or a host is participating in Eurovision with a country or more)
- We got to know amazing info as his great-great-grandfather was playing the piano for the band in Chicago for Al Capone and that original Jesso was actually a part of how jazz music was formed in Chicago, although he started teaching business in order to support his family.
- How did the kid singing with a plastic microphone turned into songwriting and singer, and actually quite a successful one?
- Justin reveals that the song with which he competes in ASC is titled LIFELINE a sole stadium pop song, speaking about the aftermath of a hard life hurdle such as a love breakup. He honoured oikotimes by giving the first acapella.
- Of course when the discussion discussed Eurovision and he seems to have liked Malik Harris from Germany, although he hasn’t heard any of the other Eurovision 2022 songs.
