UNITED STATES (NEW HAMPSHIRE) – Last Monday we all saw MARi BURELLE performing a mainly Swedish penned song on stage titled FLY. The entrant of NEW HAMPSHIRE with the absolute outfit of the season brought majestic feelings to the viewers and definitely impressed the users of the social media who definitely want her on the Eurovision stage.
After all, Eurovision is not something MARi is not aware of. She knows it, she watches it and she loves it. Fans even want her to represent Malta in Eurovision, although we would definitely suggest Sweden.
Despite the extravagant and stylish performance, the vocals showcased a talented woman who breathless can sing for 2.45 minutes a very difficult song.
The meaning of the lyrics is not only for us. Moving on, rebirthing from bad situations and becoming survivors are not quotes addressed to us. It is the personal motto of the singer who has been struggling with difficulties and deals with them every day. Even 10 minutes before our interview session, MARi had her moment.
The American Song Contest and her dream about music are all motivated and targeted at her 15-year-old daughter, who she loves and mentions many times in the interview.
Besides giving us an acapella and unprepared chorus of FLY, the NEW HAMPSHIRE iconic singer gave me, the PAPI (as she called me and loved it) fashion tips for my trip in a few weeks in Turin.
On Monday, April 18, MARi will attend the ASC show where we will all find out whether she qualifies to the semifinals.
ABOUT MARI BRUELLE
Singer-songwriter, an excellent voice and interpretation. Both Cuban and Puerto Rican MARi is still like any artist on a first-name basis with the world – Madonna, Beyonce, Bowie, Prince, Gaga, Pink or Cher – native New Yorker Mari embodies all the makings of the superstar and then some.
For starters, she is runway ready from the moment she wakes up and is larger-than-life by the time she takes the stage with a fleet of wigs and dresses that were likely cherry-picked from a thrift store but could still make even the most sensational supermodel jealous.
And perhaps, most importantly, her voice is pure pop gold with a hearty serving of soul as it sashays its way through dance, reggae and Latin rhythms that are not only insanely infectious but instantly soul-stirring.
If unequivocally enraptured audiences are the barometer thus far, whether it is on her own solo headlining excursions, opening for music festivals alongside Amara La Negra, Meghan Trainor, Paula Abdul and Mager. There is no doubt MARi is about to blow up well beyond the stratosphere
But even more than her Powerhouse pipes, fierce fashion sensibilities and post-show taco truck that find the fabulous singer and an equally over the top entourage grilling for her fantastic fans, authenticity is arguably the route of the relative newcomer’s most compelling quality.
And that is really saying something considering her boundless energy and envelope-pushing aesthetic as an all-around entertainer could literally stop traffic! MARi got a #13 on the Billboard dance club chart with her song “Letโs Hear It For The Boy” in 2019.
Mari was one of the most popular artists in “La Voz” where Luis Fonsi was her coach and a great admirer of her talent. Her most recent song โBad Girls, or Chica’s Malas, with the famous Mexican singer Frida Sofia, is causing a sensation among the international media. The theme has its own music video available on YouTube and the song is on an all-digital platforms.
