KYIV, UKRAINE – Ukraine is back in the Eurovision Song Contest and already the interest for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is rising in the turmoil country. Anastasia Prikhodko, the Ukrainian singer who represented Russia in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest stated on Facebook she would be interested to represent Ukraine in Stockholm.
“…My dream is to try in Eurovision again for Ukraine this time. What are my fans thinking? Am I worth to represent Ukraine?”
Anastasia Prikhodko defended her country in the conflict with Russia as she denied performing in any Russian event or television show. Russian broadcaster NTV called her an anti-Russian rebel calling her 2009 performance as a disgrace for Russia even calling her a prostitute.
