AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – The Dutch representative at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, Anouk, has criticised this year’s representative Trijntje Oosterhuis, who failed to qualify to the final.
Anouk, who co-wrote the entry “Walk Along”, criticised Trijntje’s choice of dress and performance, while adding that the singer’s vocals were good and that she has no regrets for co-writing the song.
“I suddenly saw her in that dress on the evening news. That’s when I thought, geez… shit, what the hell. I thought that’s not going to work out”.
She said she made her feelings known to Trijntje who replied that she hadn’t been given any negative feedback on her dress. Anouk was also unhappy about the camerawork, as well as lights and the entire staging of the performance.
