SWEDEN – It seems that moaning started in Melodifestivalen 2021. 2017 participant, Axel Schylström expressed his thoughts about Anton Ewald’s performance last Saturday.
Specifically, he said that Anton’s microphone was “barely on”, in a recent interview.
“It is hard to define the rules there because you are allowed to have some backing vocals recorded before. It’s hard to say how much you are allowed to have. He had quite the volume of the backing singer who was singing live with him.”
It is no secret that SVT allowed pre-recorded vocals for many years, something which EBU will exceptionally allow this year as well, in Eurovision Song Contest.
Did Anton break the rules? No matter if Axel is right, there is an issue regarding enjoying a song competition when you cannot hear the singer’s live vocal skills…
In the meantime, 2.9 million on TV and 191.000 on the web, watched the second MEODIFESTIVALEN semi-final, last Saturday…
