POLAND – On December 31, TVP2 invites you to the “New Year’s Eve of Dreams” during which we will probably know the name of the new Polish representative at Eurovision.
Fans are getting impatient and guesses come up by themselves.
The main suspect is still Daria and her radio hit “Paranoia”, although the singer maintains that she does not know anything about it and is tired of constantly asking fans about it.
She emphasizes, however, that she really wants to participate in Eurovision, and this is also the goal of her label. Another candidate was to be Krystian Ochman, who in one of the interviews even said which song he would like to perform there.
A day later, in an interview for Eska.pl, admit that the competition is not his fairy tale.
In addition to speculations about Zenek Martyniuk, Roksana Wฤgiel or Sylwia Grzeszczak, an important player in this year’s selections is Kuba Szmajkowski, a young vocalist previously associated with the 4Dreamers formation (Interval Act of the JESC 2019 Opening Ceremony), who begins his solo career with the single “Infinite” written by Swedish authors.
The singer, who describes himself as a Eurovision fan, confirmed that he submitted the song to TVP, and during a recent conference on New Year’s Eve 2021 he wove the song into a medley during the performance, so we know what his Eurovision “Lovesick” sounds like.
Both Szmajkowski and Daria appear very often on TVP recently. Kuba performed during the “Holiday Tour of Two”, he is also visible in “Jaka to melodia”, and on December 31 he will sing for TVP2 viewers in the Tatra Mountains.
As he admitted in an interview with Dziennik Eurowizyjny, the new song, although in English, is of Polish production, and the Swedes had only a small share in it. The full version of the song “Lovesick” will be released later this year.
