YEREVAN, ARMENIA – Today AMPTV has revealed some details and exclusive backstage photos from Armeniaโs postcard for Eurovision 2016. This year the postcards will present the artist and the country, while highlighting both countryโs traditions and artistโs hobbies and interests.
โThis yearโs concept is very unique. We are trying to present the country through the artist โ his hobbies, interests, etc. We are using various shots to make the postcards even more beautifulโ โ says director Oliver Martin โ
โAnd weโre having a great time in Armenia. The capital is very beautiful, people are kind and very hospitable. And itโs a pleasure to work with Iveta. Sheโs very creative and professional. I think the postcard is going to look great.โ
โWe had only one day for the shoot, but we had so much stuff to do! Despite the constant rain, we still managed to get a lot of beautiful shots of some of Armeniaโs most iconic places. We also tried to include some symbolic elements like apricot trees, huge chess board and, for the first time, youโll see me making traditional Armenian bread Lavash. It was truly amazing and Iโm really looking forward to seeing the postcard in May. I think youโre going to love itโ โ says Iveta Mukuchyan.

Eurovision Song Contest is very popular now, so this is impossible that only one country is original, outstanding and good in this situation. This situation was very frequent in past but impossible in present. For me Italy is greatest favorite, because this is powerful country and Francesca Michielin is very catchy girl. But there will be also other good entries from Netherlands, Cyprus, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Serbia, Sweden, Malta, Denmark, Hungary, Finland, Bulgaria, Latvia, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Moldova, Belgium, Belarus. This list is very long. Level of entries is very high, even if rules are not good, healthy and fair. But rules are not most important, even if Janusz Korwin-Mikke thinks differently. Here entries are most important. Good entry must be elevated, high. Even Loreen sang “We are going up, up, up”, not “wide, wide, wide”.
People like similar entries every year, because reality is the same practically all the time. Every day we all wake up in the same world.
Look at Australia and Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, and now everything must be clear. Australia was wide, flat and horizontal, Malta was vertical, tight and high. Before this contest this could be not obvious and clear, but after this contest everything must be obvious and clear. This is only right direction, because generally every good entry for televoting in history presented this type. This is reliable and rational.
