ARMENIA – Two musicians have claimed to represent the nation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, according to hraparak.am. Rosa Linn and Saro Gevorgyan’s identities were disclosed in the piece.

Rosa Linn wrote the song, while Tamar Kaprelian’s crew worked on the production, according to sources. The vocalist is a part of the Nvak Collective and has signed with Warner Chappell Music.

Tokionine composed Saro’s song. The songwriter has previously penned “Walking Out,” “Why,” and the JESC 2021 winning song “Qami Qami” for Srbuk. “I’m falling for you” is the title of his song (or “Dance”). It’s techno, evocative of tracks by The Weeknd.

Our own Athena Manoukian also submitted a song, however, she was eliminated in the first round of internal selection.

Rumours also suggest that Gor Sujyan (Dorians), Artem Valter (who reworked Athena’s “Chains On You”), and Miriam (who participated in the 2020 national final) competed in the domestic selection but were subsequently disqualified.
