CYPRUS 🇨🇾
Tamta tries her luck with a song that is rather beyond her usual music genres and belongs to one of the most popular Greek rappers, SNIK. Señorita was initially performed at the MAD Video Music Awards 2019 event, which was held last month in Athens.

RUSSIA
On 12 May 2007, Serebro performed at the contest and placed third in a field of 24 musical acts from competing nations, scoring 207 points. Serebro later said: “We are happy because of our third place. But, the most important thing is that we weren’t there because of ourselves, it was for our fans, for Russia and for the Russian people”. The performance in Helsinki became their first official release and first concert for a large live audience.

AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
Mauboy is one of Australia’s most successful female artists. She has achieved five top-ten albums (including a number-one) and 16 top-twenty singles (including 9 top-ten hits). She has won two ARIA Music Awards from 24 nominations, and was ranked sixteenth on the Herald Sun’s list of the “100 Greatest Australian Singers of All Time”.[5] Mauboy has collaborated with several international artists such as Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Jay Sean, and Pitbull. She has also toured with Beyoncé and Chris Brown, and performed at many notable events, including the Australian visits for Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and US President Barack Obama. Mauboy was a guest performer at the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. She competed for Australia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest and reached 20th place.

AZERBAIJAN 🇦🇿
Born in Baku, Kazimova studied vocal arts at the Baku Academy of Music. After graduating, she briefly performed as part of an opera troupe. From the early 2000s, she was a member of the rock band Unformal and later the lead singer for the duo Milk & Kisses. Both bands participated in the Azerbaijani national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest before, with Unformal placing second in the national final in 2008, and Milk & Kisses placing second again in the national final in 2010. In 2010, the duo Milk & Kisses represented Azerbaijan at the annual New Wave music festival in Jurmala, Latvia, but came 16th out of 17 contestants. In 2014, Kazimova participated in the Azerbaijani selection (this time by herself) and won the competition. “Start a Fire”, the song with which Dilara represented Azerbaijan in Copenhagen, was released two weeks later, on 16 March 2014, at the same time as the video clip. Dilara performed in the first semi-final of the contest, placing 9th with 57 points points and ultimately qualified to the final. In the final she came 22nd with 33 points. Kazimova was a contestant of the Ukrainian reality talent show Holos Krayiny (part of the international syndication The Voice). Svyatoslav Vakarchuk turned around his chair so he will be her coach and mentor for the duration of the show. Kazimova has also starred in two Azerbaijani films Try Not to Breathe (alongside Fakhraddin Manafov) in 2006 and Purgatory (for which she recorded the soundtrack “Sonsuz yol” as part of the band Unformal) in 2007.

NORTH MACEDONIA 🇲🇰
On 28 December 2012, North Macedonian Radio-Television (MRT) announced that Lozanoski along with Esma Redžepova would represent Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 to be held in Malmö, Sweden, with the song “Pred da se razdeni”. The song failed to qualify from the second semi-final of the competition on 16 May 2013, placing 16th in the field of 17 songs, scoring 28 points.

SLOVAKIA 🇸🇰
TWiiNS represented Slovakia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with their song, “I’m Still Alive”, which failed to qualify for the final. Despite this, they still gave Slovakia their best result since re-entering the competition in 2009. The song was co-written and produced by Bryan Todd. The song went to no.18 in Slovakia.

AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 Australia's Eurovision star Montaigne has released her entry 'Technicolour' on streaming services; announced a live performance this weekend; and will share a pop video shortly. Written and produced specifically with Eurovision in mind, the banger combines upbeat pop stylings with catchy anthemic hooks. The Sydneysider co-wrote her Contest track alongside songwriter and producer Dave Hammer. Montaigne will give her first live performance of Technicolour at the 2021 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, which is available to stream live on Saturday 6 March at 08:00 CET (or 18:00 AEDT) on SBS On Demand. Those kind people at SBS will be removing the geo-block for international viewers, so we might not be getting Australia Decides in 2021, but this does mean those of us in Europe still have the opportunity to enjoy one Eurovision reveal over brunch or breakfast. 6 0
