video & song soon
Guy Sebastian won the first editon of the Australian editon of American Idol and was also a judge on X Factor between 2010 and 2012. He has many platinum and gold album and singles. In 2008 he performed along with Olivia Newton John.
His latesed album was released in November, but he said at the press conference that at Eurovision he will either sing a song that wasn’t there that he already has, either he will write something new in couple days.
There was a question about time difference. So there will be a live broadcast starting at 5 am and an evening broadcast. If people can get up to watch Champions League, they will get up to watch Eurovision also.
There were also talks about the costs and the chairman of SBS, who will also be HoD said that comparing what the Australia will gain, it’s a “tea spoon of money”.
Guy said that he doesn’t want to have a performance that will stick in your eyes, he said that he wants to focus on his voice.
In the end Guy played his song Get along on a piano. He said that he wanted to sing this at Eurovision, but unfortunately it was released prior to September 1st.
So, what do you say? Are you happy with Australia’s pick? Have you been expecting someone else? How do you think Australia will do this May?
