AUSTRIA / PRESS RELEASE – On Sunday, May 1, Austria’s ESC representatives LUM!X and Pia Maria stood on the Song Contest stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin for the first time.
They performed their song “Halo” three times during the first rehearsal. Pia Maria was thrilled afterwards: “The first rehearsal on the big ESC stage was such a cool experience for me personally.
Being there and getting a feeling for the whole venue was great, everything went great. And the positive adrenaline is rising!”, laughs the Tyrolean.
Afterwards, the TV implementation of the stage performance of the Austrian delegation was presented in the so-called viewing room, where there was also the possibility to make change requests.
“The stage looks amazing and we felt very comfortable. The first rehearsal went very well, there were no problems, we will only adopt a few details. Then we will be ready for the live performance on May 10,” says LUM!X.
ORF Head of Delegation Stefan Zechner:
“It is a great pleasure to be here in Turin at the Song Contest with two young artists after the pandemic. To have the opportunity to stand on a big stage, perform in front of an audience and express a lot of joie de vivre is great.”
LUM!X and Pia Maria will definitely spread this energy at the “Eurovision Song Contest”.
Their performance is supported by a powerful light show and they perform their ESC song “Halo” fitting to the title in a halo light ring.
After rehearsal and previewing, yesterday afternoon’s program also included a first online “Meet & Greet” with international press representatives.
