Yesterday at a renovated restaurant near Malmo’s piers, the Nordic party was held. The space was huge and spacious so everyone could meet and greet. Aside from the Nordic countries, the contestants from Ireland, Serbia, Austria, Moldova, Croatia, Russia, Slovenia, San Marino, Ukraine and FYR Macedonia were also there. You can see the atmosphere from the party on the pictures bellow.
Nordic Party turned to be a fun occasion for everyone invited. Even delegations and artist’s from Albania, Serbia and Russia showed up. As well as many of the other countries having Swedish or other Nordic connections this year.
Norway’s Margaret Berger got furious when it was her turn to perform on stage. The smoke machine pumped out a lot of smoke on the stage. A little bit too much perhaps: She shouted out: “I do not want to be a diva, but can we take it a little bit easy with that smoke machine? Can we turn it off please!”
HHowever, it took a while before the machine was turned off, almost causing Margaret to leave the stage. But when the situation was solved she was able to start her performance.
On the Nordic party, guests were also Ana Matronic and Scott Mills who will comment the semifinals for BBC. There Ana said that she loves Eurovision and all the happenings about it. She also said that she would have to think twice if a boarcaster calls her to represent a country. She would love to do it. For you who don’t know who Ana is (Shame on you!), we will tell you that she is a member of hugely popular band Scissor Sisters. The band is from the USA, but they shot the most of their glory at Europe, especially at the UK.
