Georgia has a very Swedish team this year in Eurovision. After hiring composer Thomas G:son and also adding with other crew members from Sweden, as three backing singers for example. Georgia want’s to secure a sucess in this years Eurovision.
One of the backing singers are Martin Kagemark, for many years a part oof Melodifestivalen house-choire and also the husband of Mr. Christer Björkman, this years show producer of Eurovision.
Martin Kagemark has during the weeks prior to the Eurovision worked with the pre-rehersals and managed them for all the countries. Before the real rehersals sterted SVT used stand in with local school-children acting as the real artists on stage. During this period early choiches and adoptions of solutions of camera-angles and movements on stage was made by the producers and vidoes was sent back to delegations to watch.
During the pressconference with Georgia last week, Martin Kagemark appeared to be not only a backing singer but also someone that has offered a lot of hints about artistical direction for the Georigian Team as he has a lot of experience doing this during his many years in for example Melodifestivalen.
Most likely Martin Kagemark has not broken any EBU rules, but this is something that should be looked at in years to come. There seems to be a conflict of interest and its easy to suspect that Georgia might have been favourised having Martin Kagemark, working in the pre-production for the ESC as well as being the husband of the showproducer Christer Björkman.
