BELARUS – Belarusian national broadcaster announced their quest for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest entry and representative. The rules for participating in the quest are published in the official website.
Highlights of the rules is that BTRC is now open to international submissions either by singers or authors.
Submissions are due on December 26th.
There will be two phases of the national selection. In the first phase the national broadcaster jury will review the applicants in a live audition and those qualified will proceed to the second phase, the live show of the national final.
BTRC will announce the finalists by January 14th, the latest and expect to see about 15 acts in the national final which is due before March 1st.
Jury and public voting will determine the winner. Jury members will include established musicians and members of the government. In case of a tie, the jury will resolve the issue of the winner.
