Belgium’s main newspaper Le Soir announced that French-language TV broadcaster RTBF has selected Roberto Bellarosa to represent the Kingdom on the Eurovision stage next year in Malmö. Originally the news were suppose to be released on a press conference on November 20. The song national final is now scheduled for December 16th.
Roberto Bellarosa won the very first edition of popular TV talent show “The Voice” in his native Belgium with 57% of the public vote on April 10, 2012. Thanks to his victory, Roberto signed a music deal with SONY Music to record one album and release two singles, beside a tour of Belgium with some of “The Voice” contestants.
His first single entitled “Je crois” (I believe) was released in July this year, followed by his first album entitled “Ma voie” (My way) in late September. Currently touring Wallonia, Roberto Bellarosa released a second single entitled “Apprends-moi” (Teach me) a couple of weeks ago.
RTBF is to announce the modality of the song selection in the coming days.
