Artists are beginning to announce their plans to take part in the upcoming Serbian national selection, Beosong, which will take place in March.
The winners of the popular signing talent show “Zvezde Granda” (Grand stars) Milica Todorović and Dušan Svilar are believed to have applied to take part in the national selection.
Furthermore, the 2007 Serbian Eurovision winner, Marija Šerifović, has written on her Twitter page that her half brother, Danijel Pavlović, will also apply for the show with a song written by Marina Tucaković. Marina Tucaković has written thousands of songs, including Serbia’s entries in 2010 and 2012.
Marko Kon, who represented Serbia with song “Cipela” (Shoe) in 2009, says he is likely to compose several songs for various singers for the upcoming contest, although ruled out any possibility of actually competing as a singer.
Singers have until January 20 to apply. A team of judges will select fifteen entries which will compete in the semi final. A public televote will decide the five best songs which will then face off in the grand final a day later.
