SARAJEVO, BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA – After the surprising news of the country’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday, today we get to know their Stockholm participants: Deen and Dalal will fly the flag to the Swedish capital.
Yes, it’s the 2004 Deen who’s entering the Eurovision race for Bosnia and Herzegovina this year. The queer boy with he disco ball from Istanbul is back in the game, aiming to make his country proud. Along side Dalal Midhat-Talakic to perform the duet while Celloist Ana Rucner will also be involved.
The announcement made through a press conference today where BHRT said that the song for Eurovision 2016 will be presented in due time.
Lejla Babovic from BHRT said
“The financial situation of BHRT is probably even worse right now than in the past two years. However, we found a business partner who guarantees that the costs will be covered. BHRT is solely giving licence to the Eurovision entry representing our country. Coming back to the Eurovision Song Contest is not just good for our national TV station, but for the whole of Bosnia & Herzegovina. We are not going to be taking part at the European Championships in football next year, but we can take part in at least one European championships – the Eurovision Song Contest.”
