LUXEMBOURG – Our hearts at the window, Lara Fabian sings for her four countries with surprise guests. The Belgian singer announced that the benefits of her new song will be donated to the nursing staff of France, Italy, Belgium and Canada.
The united impulses that have multiplied since the start of confinement have inspired a new title for Lara Fabian. Our hearts at the window is the name the Belgian singer has chosen for her new song “special confinement”. The title has been available on streaming and download platforms since midnight Thursday and the proceeds will go to healthcare staff in France, Italy, Belgium and Canada. Its “four countries of heart”, as its communications department has specified.
The clip was released this Friday morning. We discover the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum or the Grand Place in Brussels. The video is also rich in personalities: Eva Longoria, Franck Dubosc, Iris Mittenaere, Vanessa Demouy, Michel Drucker, Gilles Bouleau and Audrey Lamy make an appearance there.
For this clip, Lara Fabian also asked: “her fans via her social networks so that they send her videos of their daily applause to the nursing staff”. Result? “Nearly 1000 videos” were received “in 48 hours”.
The profits of the title will pass through La Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France, Protezione Civile (Italy), Centraide (Canada), and La Fondation Roi Baudouin (Belgium). Lara Fabian is confined to Montreal, where she lives, as she explained to the Parisian. Belgian by birth, with Italian roots, she enjoyed great success in France where she was also coach of the show The Voice.
The Belgian singer is not the first to come forward to help the nursing staff. This kind of charity initiative flourishes in this period of health crisis, as recently with the collective “Et demain” composed of 350 personalities, or the song Pour les gens du secours, sung by the trio Pascal Obispo, Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny . The latter was however tackled on social networks, again accused of tax exile.
Pagny reacted by posting a video on his Instagram account where he puts “the dots on the i” for the “1% of diehards”, after having received “comments, messages and insulting emails”. The interpreter of Savoir J’aime ensures paying taxes in Portugal “as a tax resident”, up to 10% of his income, in Argentina “as a farmer”, again for 10% of his income, before to conclude “but 80% of my income is taxable in France and paid in France”.
As a wink, the host and actor Yvan Le Bolloc’h posted on his social networks a small musical film with the message: “I forgot, no tax exile participated in the shooting of this video”.
LYRICS
J’entends chanter par les fenêtres
Au monde abimé, nous offrons ce cadeau
Si dans les rues le temps s’arrête
Nos voix enlacées portent l’espoir plus haut
Chante à l’infini
Chante
Chante à l’infini
Chante
Nos cœurs éclatent à nos fenêtres
À se partager ce besoin d’essentiel
J’entends si fort nos âmes renaître
Se reconnecter à la beauté du ciel
Stasera guardo alla finestra…
il mondo canta sembra festa…
E questa musica che passa
mescola i cuori e li conforta
Canta a perdifiato Canta
Canta a perdifiato Canta
Stasera guardo alla finestra …
preghiamo insieme x chi resta
E ci accorgiamo nel dolore
Quando si ama non si muore
Canta a perdifiato Canta
Canta a perdifiato Canta
