FYR Macedonia announced today that the country will submit another song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmรถ, Sweden. Esma & Lozano remain the artists chosen to represent the small state of the Balkans who love to call themselves descents of Alexander the Great but unfortunately for them their song was publicly criticized and therefore withdrawn.
Ljupco Mirkovski, FYR Macedonia’s Head of Delegation said to local press that MKRTV was affected by the public opinion and the negative comments on the web therefore they will change a song for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest as they have still time till March 18th when the EBU deadline expires.

The head of the Macedonian ESC delegation,, said in an interview with the newspaper “Journal” that they would take into consideration the public’s reactions to Imperija and after the song was recorded in a show on the TV channel MRT came many negative feedback on social media. MRT has decided to withdraw from the competition Imperija.
Eurovision 2006 entrant Elena Risteska will be among the new team of authors penning the FYR Macedonian entry for 2013 alongside to Darko Dimotrov, Lazar Cvetkovski, Simenon Atanasov

no guessing were the negative comments came from. was a disgrace all the dislikes, vile and unpleasant comments left on youtube. no excuse for it. makes me SO angry
But the song wasn’t even bad. It would have easily qualified and done very well for them. It’s a shame that they are changing the song, let’s hope the new song is just as good. :)

Now they are both changed.
