SOFIA, BULGARIA – The country which will host the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest edition this November, confirmed via Twitter their provisional participation to the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. The news come after the Italian confirmation later this afternoon on Facebook, calling Sweden for a “rematch”.
Bulgaria, just like all countries, usually send their paperwork on time to get the deadline but it will be unknown if they finally participate. The final participation list for the countries will be released at the end of the year. All countries preliminary submit their participation so they don’t pay a fine if withdraw within a month.
Bulgaria has to solve the financial issue of their participation in Eurovision 2016 but after a successful Junior in 2014 and hosting (most likely) in 2015 the media and audience in Bulgaria would definitely increase their interest, opening sponsorships for BNT to get the proper funds to go to Stockholm.
