Ne! Novinite news site has an interesting post regaring Bulgaria’s participation in the next Eurovision Song Contest. The site explains that the country is not doing well in the contest no matter the artist they send to Eurovision and the story editor is surprised how artists like Miro, Elitsa and Stoyan failed to qualify in the Eurovision final! (we are not though).
The news site reports that the public is keen to see a protest song to represent Bulgaria in the 2014 Eurovision edasition directly connected with the politial turmoil in the country against the current government. Lots of musicians and artists are taking part in the protests seems to be popular among the public to represent Bulgaria in Eurovision and according to Ne! Novinite, they are also popular within BNT!
Ukraine’s Nas Bahato” (GreenJolly) and Portugal’s “A luta e algeria” (Homens da Luta) seems to be a good example for BNT, it’s reported. Although most of the above examples, also failed to qualify in the final, it seems that the idea is quite popular in Bulgaria.
No matter what Bulgaria will do in Eurovision 2014 we have to wait for BNT first to confirm the country’s participation!
BNT denies the information posted above
