SPAIN – Despite the constant efforts of RTVE, her fellow participants to calm things down, Chanel is really seeming not enjoying her success, as a majority of the fans and social media users vow over Rigoberta.
While we all saw Chanel crying in a recent interview on TV, the social media users keep attacking the 2022 Spanish representative. Now, they say that her song is resembling (on its chorus part) that of Serbian singer, Dara Bubamara, titled “EXTRAVAGANTNO”.
Online petitions to cancel the results, regional and municipal threats o bring the issue to the regional congress, imaginary arguments that her English lyrics were 5% more than what RTVE allowed are really making this saga the worst attack on an artist ever made.
Not to forget to mention how the Greek media aggressively accused the Spanish singer of copying Eleni Foureira with some “experts” claiming that “this is a re-used recipe which will not payout for Spain”!
Especially in a year that RTVE is desperately eager to change the results in the scoreboard.
On the other hand, all eyes are focused on her performance in the second Portuguese semi-final and we hope Chanel ignores the web until she performs in Turin and focuses on her act!
Spain is currently 8th (falling) in the betting odds!
