BULGARIA – The past few hours there was chaos in the social media as the official BNT Eurovision Twitter account deleted all mentions to INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT and posted a male shadow with a date for a new announcement.
All of us speculated that IMP were disqualified (for some reason) and weirdly that KRISTIAN KOSTOV will take over the representation of Bulgaria in Turin.
The 2017 Bulgarian entrant was shocked in the social media with the speculations and loved – somehow – the fuzz around him which also led the Bulgarian entry rise up to the 3rd spot for winning Eurovision 2022 in the betting odds…
But the truth is deeper than this.
Team oikotimes decided to contact IMP for a reaction. The Bulgarian rock band explained that BNT’s Twitter account include fans in their moderation team. One of them hacked the account and made the fuzz.
The Bulgarian band assured us that the chaos was due to fake news from this fan hacking the account and that IMP will compete in Eurovision 2022 as planned.
We would like though, to read how BNT will secure its accounts and restore its damaged image to the fans, becoming a bit more professional, when it comes to media and press.
