GÖTEBORG, SWEDEN – How many times have we heard «Sweden is an example for all, the land of perfection where everybody’s happy and where everything is running smoothly?» Well, it seems that Sweden is a country just like others, where the machine can fail.
Last Saturday, the first semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2015 was held, and sadly, the brand new app through which people could vote just crashed during the show. Some could not download the app, others could not cast their votes.
The fact the three first acts of the show were the ones eliminated from the competition led to suspicions. Have the failure had consequences on the results?
Producer Christer Björkman had to give an interview to newspaper Aftonbladet to underline the fairness of the results despite the app crash. So the results are confirmed! So let’s move on the second semi-final to take place next Saturday in Malmö.
