GEORGIA – In a surprise announcement this morning, EBU revealed that Circus Mircus will be the Georgian entrants for Eurovision 2022. Therefore we have the second representative for the 2022 Eurovision edition.
Circus Mircus was founded in Tbilisi, Georgia at the end of 2020 by three dropouts from the local circus academy.
“We weren’t good enough, probably the worst of the crew, that’s why we became friends,” one of their rare interviews says.
Despite dropping out of the academy, they didn’t stop entertaining the public by releasing 10 music videos in less than a year.
“We grew into a movement and were accompanied on our journey by professionals from different fields.”
Unique in itself, Circus Mircus encompasses countless genres, intricately reflecting the inner world and life experience of each band member.
The cornerstone of their philosophy lies in completely ignoring musical frameworks.
