When it comes to Eurovision, Cyprus is indeed in a “civil war” almost every year. This time a rather uninteresting interview of Despina Olympiou, caused a polemic by the composer of 2013 Cyprus Eurovision entry, Zinon Zintilis as ShowTime Cy reports.
Despina said that Cyprus delegation in Malmoe, was the smallest delagation this year as the composer, the lyricist, the social media manager couldn’t come along due to budget limitations. She also pointed out that there were no money for promo tour and she felt as she was sucrificed due to her own personal work and there was bad co ordination. She really thinks that her presentation was a descent one.
“An Me Thymasai” composer, Zinon Zinitlis responded to Despina Olympiou said that he fully disagrees with the statement of Despina as his collaboration with the artist and the national television based on respect and perfection. He won’t say more in public and he believes that because he feels Despina is insulting many persons who worked hard and because her statements are far away from the truth he reserves the right to respond through legal channels.
