NORWAY – According to NRK, MGP project manager Stig Karlsen said that behind-the-scenes work is being done to guarantee that the remaining programs can proceed.
This comes after a substantial number of Covid-19 infections among the show’s musicians, hosts, and production crew.
Annika Momrak, the MGP’s host, was unable to compete in the second semi-final due to an adverse test result last week. Her co-host, Kre Magnus Bergh, was unable to attend the semi-final three.
Subwoolfer, who were scheduled to play “Give That Wolf A Banana” at yesterday night’s third concert, were also forced to cancel owing to positive testing. They will instead compete in the fourth semi-final next week.
According to Stig Karlsen, there were perhaps 10 instances of illness this weekend, some of which were in important roles for the show’s development.
Work is still being done to guarantee that manufacturing can continue. Throughout the concerts, stringent infection control procedures were used.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, there will be no audience for the semi-finals or the Second Chance Round.
