CYPRUS – It’s no secret that annually we have Katerina Stikoudi, Irene Papadopoulou and Ian Startis rumoured to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest. But it was known to oikotimes since late August that those rumours are false despite all fansites got into the trap and presented the information as confirmed bids! (laughing really loud here)
In the Eurovision newsdesks, it’s known for weeks now that the name CyBC is negotiating with will cause a big surprise to the Greeks and Cypriots.
Last night might give us a hint (or not). Soon CyBC will make the official announcement and we will see if there is any truth in this post!
Speaking on THE 2NIGHT SHOW hosted by Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, trapper FY declared his interest for Eurovision if a proposal comes around with a pompous statement in the style of “I would definitely go for it”, as you can see in the video (which is in Greek).
Trap music is very popular in Greece and Cyprus and can connect the youth with the contest. The trap audience is highly clustered around Europe and this could be a good option for Cyprus and its potential result in the scoreboard.
With more than 28 million views for one of his song, FY managed in his 20 years of age to become successful even before releasing his first song on YouTube. Now he is considered one of the top rap/trap artists in the country.
What do you think about FY?
