CYPRUS – Although the news about Elena Tsagrinou was available before morning TV shows, it was only OPEN TV reporting the information with all other commercial broadcasters (not to mention the public one, which anyway lives in its own world) making no reference to the news.
In the meantime, the news about Elena Tsagrinou was not exactly welcomed in the social media with Twitter starring in the negative reactions. First tweets by the fans believe that the collaboration with Laurell Bakker will not bring success while some think that a Greek singer and record label, Swedish authors and a Spanish title in the song bring nothing Cypriot to the contest.
The song EL DIABLO will be probably in English reading us FUEGO and people wonder if the Cypriots will try to bring one more FOUREIRA-alike on stage. The song will be in English with the meaning referring to the love f a female signer with a bumper.
So it seems that the last hope for Cyprus is to redeem the sentiments with a fantastic tune!
At the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, Elena will be performing a song about falling in love with someone as bad as El Diablo, a song composed and produced by Jimmy Thornfeld, Laurell Barker, Oxa, and Thomas Stengaard.
You might already know some of these names from other Eurovision songs like She Got Me, Only Teardrops and You Let Me Walk Alone. The staging will be organised by artistic director Marvin Dietmann, who also is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest.
