EUROPE – The excitement for the senior and junior Eurovision Song Contest editions is gearing up. Dozens of information come on the web today and we share them with you.
- Slovakia’s national broadcaster announced today that officially they are not coming back to the Eurovision Song Contest. Still some small hopes kept by the organisers, hoping to find a way to convince them by early January to enter the list of participating countries.
- While BHRT is eager to return in the Eurovision Song Contest, money problems prohibit them to confirm participation. They do wait tough up to October 10th to say the final “no” so they don’t get a financial penalty. BHRT is really trying and despite probable negotiations for financial arrangements with EBU seem not enough to solve the problem.
- San Marino makes it 16. Yes, 16 countries again in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country confirmed its participation today and therefore we will see them again in Sofia, hopefully with a powerful song that will stun us. (and in Italian language please). EBU seems not to exclude a 17th country entering the contest this year.
- In Switzerland SRF song submission period opens and those interested can submit online their songs to enter the next phase of the Swiss selection.
- Leni with the song Najlepลกi Dan and Lina Kuduzoviฤ with the song Prva ljubezen are the two finalists for Mini EMA 2015, the show through which next week the country will decide its participation to the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
- In the Netherlands now, Junior Songfestival 2015 concluded with the wildcard announcement. The five participants for the grand final in Holland are: Myrthe, group 4LIFE, Nohr, Shalisa and Guusje who aim to win the selection and the ticket to Sofia.
- In Belarus, Ruslan Aslanov, is hitting the studio to improve the Belarusian entry for Sofia’s Junior Eurovision. They already have a great song and therefore we expect a favourite tune to come up from it.
