CYPRUS – CyBCC fully denied once again the STAR Channel fake news regarding the involvement of RedOne with the production of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest entry. CyBC that Alex P. and Teddy Sky are the composers of the song for Tel Aviv.
RUSSIA – Dream team, Dimitris Kontopoulos, Elias Kokotos and Filip Kirkorov met not only with the Russian national broadcaster but also with the Moldovan President. Although no official announcement yet, it’s highly speculated that the Greek Dream Team which is supported always by Kirkorov, are set to take over the Russian Eurovision project for 2019.
UKRAINE – UA:PBC has revealed that the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 reached 2.5 million viewers across Ukraine. This years contest in Minsk, Belarus had an audience share of 2.23%, which is double what the 2017 contest in Tbilisi, Georgia achieved.
KAZAKHSTAN – A total of 132,000 viewers watched as Kazakhstan made their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The competition returned to Belarus for the first time in eight years, with a record twenty nations taking to the stage on Sunday evening. The competition had a market share of between 8.3 and 10.3%.
CROATA – HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster, will hold a press conference about Dora 2019 on December 4. The press conference will take place at 11.00 CET.
SERBIA – After opening the submissions a few months ago, the Serbian broadcaster has confirmed that it has received 76 applications during this time. Further announcement about the entries selected, or when ‘Pesma Evrovizije’ is due to take place will be confirmed at a later date.
PORTUGAL – Salvador Sobral, winner of the Eurovision 2017 Festival, performed this evening at the Kaunas Jazz in Vilnius (Lithuania), taking the audience to the spot while playing “Paukščiai”, a theme in Lithuanian.
HUNGARY – The Hungarian broadcaster will be unveiling the 30 A Dal participants next Monday at 10 am CET. A special press conference will be held for this purpose , during which all participations will be presented alongside with the hosts and the jury members of the show.
GEORGIA – Georgia will select their entry and song for Eurovision 2019 on March 2, with the date of Georgian Idol now confirmed.
