ROMANIA – The submission period for the 2019 edition of Romania’s Eurovision selection – Selectia Nationala has ended, and TVR received a total of 126 songs for next year’s Contest. This is almost 70% more than for the 2018 edition. TVR has formed a preselection jury which is going to listen to the 126 submitted songs, and select up to 24 which will proceed to the semi finals of Selectia Nationala. The qualifiers will be announced by 20th of December.

FRANCE – After a break of 14 years and a successful comeback to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest last month in Minsk, France has just confirmed that they are going to be taking part in next year’s Contest, which will be held in Poland.
CYPRUS – Tomorrow, on 13 December, singer Tamta will for the first time listen to the full version of the song Replay, chosen by RIK broadcaster to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision 2019. It is most likely that singer will need several more days to give her final answer, and to record the demo version of the song to see how it fits her vocal.
SPAIN – Eurovision-Spain has just announced the date of 2019 Madrid Eurovision Pre-Party. The Spanish capital will host the third edition of this promotional event on April 19th and 20th at Sala La Riviera.
SWEDEN – SVT has revealed the line-up of Melodifestivalen jury, which was responsible for the selection of the songs from the entries submitted through an open process. The selection jury is composed of people of different ages. Some have anchoring in the music industry, others are regular viewers and some work in one way or another with the Melodifestivalen

SPAIN – Jury has chosen Alba Reche as the third finalist of Operación Triunfo 2018. Televiewers have determined fourth and fifth finalists being Sabela (43%) and Julia (37%). Miki (20%) leaves Academy. Thus, the final will feature following five performers: Natalia, Famous, Alba Reche, Sabela and Julia.
LITHUANIA – Hosts of the Eurovizijos nacionalinė atranka have been revealed by LRT: radio and TV hosts Gabriele Martirosianaite and Giedrius Masalskis will take on the role this year.
