DENMARK – Denmark will select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine on February 25th in Boxen Arena in the city of Herning. 15.000 people in the audience will be ready to party when Herning hosts the event for the fourth time after 2001, 2009 and 2013.
The city will during two weeks do several musical events for both children and adults. “February will be one big Eurovision month,” the Mayor of Herning Lars Krarup says.
Head of Entertainment in DR Jan Lagermand Lundme is looking forward to have the Danish national final in Herning once again. “Boxen is one of the best places in Denmark to produce tv. There is always a great atmosphere among the audience in Jyske Bank Boxen and it affects the show and makes every viewer feel it,” he says.
On March 4th Boxen will host the children’s competition MGP 2017 on the same stage as the adults.
