๐ŸŽธ Denmark, Croatia and Germany revealed their national selection songs

DENMARK

Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will be held on March 5 with 8 artists and as something new this year, it is possible to vote for your favourites already in the week leading up to the show! As something new, you can vote via DRโ€™s Melodi Grand Prix app from Monday 28 February to Friday 4 March.

Between February 28 and March 4, you can vote once each day on each song. It’s free to vote with the app. It is not possible to vote on text messages before the TV show.

VOTING 5/3 EXPLAINED

  • In the first round of voting during the TV show, this year’s songs will be reduced from eight to three. Here you can vote both in the app and by text message. The three songs that go on to the second round of voting are thus found on the basis of the week’s and tonight’s votes.
  • In the second round of voting, the votes are reset and the winner is found out of the three remaining songs. Here, it is only the evening’s app and sms votes that determine the result.
  • If you use the app, you can cast one vote for each of the songs in each voting round, and voting with the app is free.
  • It is also possible to vote via SMS to 1212. The SMS codes can be seen during each song.

CROATIA

Croatian public television has recently released the 14 nominated songs for the Croatian national final Dora 2022, through which the country will be selected for Eurovision 2022. Dora 2022 will take place next Saturday, February 19 at Marino Cvetkoviฤ‡ Sports Hall in Opatija, with presenters Duลกko ฤ†urliฤ‡, Elizabeta Brodiฤ‡ and the country’s representative at Eurovision 2018, Franka Batelic.

GERMANY

Germany’s national broadcaster, NDR, has just revealed the artists and songs that will compete in Germany 12 Points, the country’s national final for Eurovision 2022.

A panel of experts selected the 6 best proposals from the 944 songs submitted in total, to compete in the final.

This committee consists of executives from Bayern3, Antenne Brandenburg, Bremen 4, HR 3, MDR Jump, NDR 2, SR 1, SWR 3 and WDR 2. All of them belong to the regional broadcasting network of the German radio and television.

The committee also includes Alexandra Wolfslast, head of the German delegation in the competition.

The winner of the Germany 12 Points, who will be anointed to represent the country in Turin, will be announced exclusively by the public, through online voting, which will start on February 28, but also on the day of the final (Friday, March 4), via SMS and telephone.

On the night of the final, where the candidates will perform their songs live, Barbara Schรถneberger will present.
