TÓRSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS – Country’s minister of Education Mr Bjørn Kalsø wants his country to enter the Eurovision Song Contest as local newspaper Portal reported today.
Following most likely the example of Australia’s participation and China’s delegation in Vienna the small state recently established as a self governed state although Denmark still decides on most of its interior policies.
The small state of islands between Scotland, Norway and Iceland has filed a membership application to the EBU since 2010 but they are still not admitted as the country is not independent and recognised as such by the United Nations.
Bjørn Kalsø though believes that there are possibilities to bypass those obstacles, insisting for his government to persuade regular applications until the get admitted to the EBU and therefore to the contest.
