UNITED KINGDOM – Speaking to Humberto Tan on RTL, Ed Sheeran talked about the Eurovision Song Contest which he loves and watched religiously every year.
Every year the bad results are annoying him, especially following this year’s humiliation with a complete null point from the public and jury.
The inevitable question was, of course, whether he will go and save the pride of the nation.
“Eurovision is my favourite thing to watch every year. I love it. I get pissed when I watch it every year and I text my manager being like, ‘I’m gonna do this one day, and he was just like, Not on my watch.’ I think if I’m gonna do it, it would have to be…England has to be loved by Europe again and I don’t know if that’s gonna happen.”

SHAPE OF YOU hitmaker also discussed his favourites from this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with a clear preference to Italy and Iceland, he mentioned Germany and struggled to recall the Dutch entry.
“Mate, Germany’s entry I loved this year,” he said. “I don’t feel hate, I just feel sorry. Hit. Smash. I think Italy had the best song and performance of the night, but I loved Iceland as well. I think the Italians were — it was very, very good.”
