ISRAEL – Eden Alene, who represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest two years ago, was caught on camera working at a Tel Aviv restaurant on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old singer finished 17th in Holland at the 2021 event, performing her hit song “Set Me Free.”
Sources close to the singer said she was no longer active in the entertainment industry when asked if the job was temporary.
“Eden wants a break from music and performing,” a source who requested anonymity said. “She ceased to perform. “She just quit, she turned down big money offers,” the source said.
Aroma Music, the label to which Alene is signed, stated that they and Alene agreed not to extend her contract.
“She was dropped by the label. We wish her luck and success in the future,” said the label.
When asked about her decision to leave the stage, Alene replied,
“Write what you want, have a nice day.”
