Eurovision Song Contest winner Emmelie de Forest today premiered the music video for follow-up single ‘Hunter & Prey’. True to form, it features our Emmelie in an outdoor setting, doing that at-one-with-nature thing that she peddles so well. She looks gorgeous in the vid. And she’s brought those two fit drummers along with her too. So something for everyone, and all that. And of course ‘Hunter & Prey’ is still a tune – which is why we’re all here.
As with the rest of the album, ‘Hunter & Prey’ sounds like its from the same sonic family as ‘Only Teardrops’. And that’s what we love about the album – anyone lured in by the big hit won’t be disappointed, it’s not a novelty on there. ‘Hunter & Prey’ is ethnic and earthy, but not without its commercial pop sheen. The melody is all there, and is best sang along to accompanied by your own interpretation of her own folky vocal riff “ee-ye, ee-ye” thing that she does. The single will be released on July 12th. It’s been taken from her ‘Only Teardrops’ album
