SWEDEN – Lion of Love, is the song with which Alexander Lemtov represented Russia in the NETFLIX Eurovision movie. The role is cast to British actor Dan Stevens but the song performance belongs to Erik Mjรถnes from Sweden.
Erik Mjรถnes gave the first live performance of “Lion of love” on July 27 on the entertainment show “Lotta pรฅ Liseberg“, an event that takes place every summer in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The event takes place in the large amusement park Liseberg, the 3rd largest amusement park in Europe, and is broadcast live on Swedish television. It is presented by Lotta Engberg, who represented Sweden at Eurovision 1987.
Erik Mjรถnes is accompanied by 2 male and 2 female dancers. The stage presentation is dominated by black and pink feathers, glitter and exaggeration, as in the film. Eric’s clothes are in fact a direct reference to Alexander Lemtov’s outfit. But the tone and character of the song, above all, is given by Eric’s voice.
“The Lion of Love” was written by Savan Kotecha (American of Indian descent), Johan Carlsson (Swedish) and Rami Yacoub (Swedish of Palestinian descent). This artistic collaboration definitely managed to give us a typical โEurovisionโ song that does not go unnoticed!
