The team of oikotimes.com has some news for the Eurofans across Europe: Greece which declared participation interest on November 5th is not sending a withdrawal request by Friday as political plots originally aimed. The national broadcaster is finalizing the technical details for the 2013 participation tomorrow noon and will not send a withdrawal letter to the EBU on Saturday (99% confirmed by secure sources).
The source revealed to oikotimes that “it’s insane to withdraw when we have to pay to at least 120,000 Euros no matter if we are in or not just to broadcast the show and secure potential participation in 2014… ERT is spending 32 million Euros for Champions League and their (politicians) problem is the overall budget (EBU fee, delegation trip and national fina) 400,000 Euros will save the country especially when the broadcaster secured many sponsors (beyone the one we already knew)?”
Few weeks ago oikotimes.com exclusively revealed that a national final with 3-5 acts will take place around February in the usual and classical Greek way! Unfortunately we cannot reveal you the names already proposed off the record by some labels to avoid any media complications.
