DR appoints cheif stage director: Dancer and instructor Kenneth Kreutzmann is appointed cheif stage director for next years Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. He is in charge of the opening- and interval acts in the semifinals and the grand final.
The instructor wants to make a beautiful show that reaches out to the 170 millions of viewers all over the world.
– Our slogan “Join Us” is a guidewire for the work. We want to involve the audience more, and we want to reach all the viewers, so they are moved of what they see. Of course it has to be nice and spectucular, but the most important thing is to tell a story you can identify with, Kenneth Kreutzmann says to dr.dk/grandprix
He mentions 2012 winner Loreens new version of “Euphoria” in this years first semi final as a good example of this.
The cheif stage instructor will make acts that matches the 2014 venue, the B&W Halls on the Eurovision Island, Refshaleรธen.
– The raw shipyard is a special location, and I will have that in mind when I make choices of the acts. The fact that the venue is 60 meters high means that something is going to happen in the air, he says.
Kenneth Kreutzmann knows the song contest, as he was a jury member in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010, where Denmarks Eurovision entry is selected.
