“Suus” is a song by Kosovar singer Rona Nishliu, and used as the Albanian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The lyrics were written by Nishliu and the music was composed by Florent Boshnjaku.
Although the song is entirely in Albanian, the title is the Latin third person reflexive possessive pronoun suus, and can mean “his,” “his own”; its official translation is “Personal”
The song received a positive review from Will Adams from Huffington Post, who said that he was skeptical when he first heard the song but upon realizing that Nishliu was singing “qaj” (“cry” in English), he said that “it really drove home the point that “Suus” is a deeply emotional ballad.”
Despite this, he did not predict that the song would fare well in the Grand Final scoreboard during the contest. (source: wikipedia.org)
