MINSK, BELARUS – With the announcement of BTRC for the opening of their national final season we are finally having a say: Get Anastasiya Tihanovich in the final. Although she’s too busy but also reluctant to bid for Eurovision Song Contest, we think that she has the proper popularity rate to bypass the problematic branding of Belarus in combination with an amazing voice.
WHO’S ANASTASIYA TIHANOVICH?
Anastasiya Tihanovich was born on the 23 of December 1980 in the capital of Belarus, city of Minsk. Taking her first music lessons when she was only 4, she got excellent musical education in the Republic College of Art, which were completed with knowledges in the sphere of producing and art management during Anastasiya’s studies at the University of Modern Knowledges.
In 2001 Anastasiya Tihanovich began to work at her first songs and was preparing to the performance at National festival of Music and Poetry in Molodechno, where she presented her first ballad “Wake me up” (V. Domaratskiy – L. Pronchak) with the State concert orchestra (conductor – People’s Artist of Belarus Michael Finberg).
Her participation in the popular Belarussian song contest “Hit-moment” brought Anastasiya Tihanovich the victory nomination, her song “Farewell” (Y. Popavskaya – L. Pronchak) became the finalist of this contest.
During Tv-chart “Crossroads of Europe” the song “Half of the world for happiness” (S. Zhdanovich – M. Kozhuh) was included into the list of finalists and Anastasiya Tihanovich got the special award called “Hope” .
In the musical biography of the singer there is participation in different festivals and concert programms, including international festivals “Golden Hit” (Belarus), “Vilnius” (Lithuania), “Melody of two hearts” (Ukraine), “Wreath of friendship” (Belarus), “Generation which believes” (Belarus), “Slavyanskiy bazaar in Vitebsk” (Belarus) and many others.
Anastasiya Tihanovich collaborates with many of Belarussian song writers and musical producers. Her songs, especially “Into your lips”, “Somewhere”, “Thats it”, “I’ll picture love” are pretty well known among belarussian pop-music admirers.
Since 2002 Anastasiya Tihanovich takes part in the literature-musical projects of the composer Vladimir Kazbanov “Doors of confession” (2002), “Preobrazhenskaya street” (2007) based on the lyrics of nun Anastasiya Shereshevskaya; “To love and to forgive” (2009) based on the Valentina Polikanina lyrics.
As the important moment of her activity Anastasiya Tihanovich mentions her collaboration with charity organizations. Durig last time, the singer took part in many charity projects, organized by Belarussian charity foundations “Touch to the life”, “Children in trouble”, representatives of children’s orphanages, BRUY, “Egida” organization, and others. In 2005 Anastasiya Tihanovich became the creator and the producer of the first Belarussian tv-contest for young singers “Star Equipage” (STV company).
In 2006 Anastasiya was invited to collaborate with the State National Teleradiocompany of Belarus as the creator and executive producer of Belarussian selection to Eurovision Song Contest – National Television Musical Project “EuroFest”. At present time Anastasiya Tihanovich continues to work at her new songs and projects.
