On Saturay night in town of Herceg Novi in Montenegro for the 19th time, festival of Sunčane Skale was held at Kanli Tower that sets back in XVI century. Artists from 11 countries competed for the Golden, Silver and Bronze Siren. Several Eurovision related artists competed there. The winners were Kemal Monteno and band Teška Industrija with their song “Majske kiše” (Rains in May). Here is their performance
Among the Eurovision artist first we have Danjel Pavlović, Beovizija 2009 entrant. He is also half-brother to Marija Šerifović. Danijel’s song is called 3 Days and it is promising to be a summer hit in Balkans. In the end he finished second. You can watch his performance here
In fourth place we have Ivana Banfić. She participated several times in Croatian national final Dora. Her song is called “Crumpled Silk” and it’s an electro-pop song just made for clubbing. Since there is no video of her performance here is the official video of the song
Igor Cukrov (2009), the last Croatian Eurovision representative who ended up in the Grand final (but just thanks to the jury who picked him up insted of Serbia) sang song called “Step By Step”. He was joined on stage with Milena Lugomirski, a famous dancer in Croatia. Here is their performance from last night
In top ten, on 9th place to be exact we have Glenys Vargas and Kevin Ettienne with song called “Dream”. Glenys was one of the backing vocals to Juliana Pasha in 2010. During the night Glenys said that her and Kevin’s “Dream” is to go to Eurovision, either for UK (since Kevin is from there), either for Albania. Glenys also said that she is planing to apply for Festivali i Këngës this year. Unfortunately for their song also there still is not a video from last night, but we have a video from Glenys’s YouTube channel
Just outside of top ten we have two former representatives. On eleventh place is Marko Prentić who represented fromer state of Serbia and Montenegro with five more (in that time) teenage boys in the band called “No Name”. His song is called “On The Dark Side Of The Moon”. Since there still is no video for his song or performance, we will tell you that his song is a ballad, where he wants to hide his girl on the dark side of the moon so he can keep her from others that wants to hurt her, because he loves her that much. On stage, he was joined with four violin players. As soon as video comes up on YouTube we will update the article.
The same goes for Pamela Ramljak song. Pamela finished just behind Marko. Her song is called “This Time (I Say No)”. You all know Pamela as she was on Eurovison stage two times. First time it was back in 2005 when she as part of Feminnem represented Bosnia and Herzegovina and next time, five years later, again with Feminnem she went to Oslo to defend colors of her home country Croatia.
Last but not the least, we have a girl with powerful voice – Saška Janković. She maybe ended up just sixteenth but she probably had the best performance of the night. Her song is called “That Moment”. Saška was also two times on Eurovision stage, in 2010. and 2011. Also she participated at Beovizija in 2009. and at this years Beosong, where she ended up third. She shot her glory at the same show where Moje 3 participated – The First Voice of Serbia. Her song has a very catchy tune and there is no doubt that you will like it. Watch her performance here
