It came as a surprise when it was announced the venue for Euroclub, was going to be moved. Eurovision is getting more and more closer and SVT wants the people to feel like at home, specially for the eurofans and media, who are one of the pillars of this contest, every year.
Moriskan, which was previously announced as the quarter chosen for hosting the Euroclub seasons, will still have an important role, as it will be used for Eurocafรฉ, an open meeting place for the fans and general public, with ample opportunities during the Euroweek to host parties. Slagthuset, which is the new Euroclub, is a large venue with big possibilites as well, and will serve for meetings, parties and also to watch live the first round of rehearsals, as the doors of Malmรถ Arena will kept closed for everyone, for the artists to concentrate better and absorb where they are.
Other reasons for choosing Slagthuset include communications, security and the modern technology which will be included, that enables SVT to broadcast live the rehearsals from the Malmรถ Arena on a big screen. After the first round of rehearsals, all the artists will be moved from the arena to Euroclub, where press and fans, will be waiting for photo-shoot’s, statements and some interviews, as planned.
This year, everybody will be one for Eurovision!
