Eurovision 2013 host broadcaster STV has released the preliminary rehearsal schedule for this yearโs event in Malmo. Rehearsals are set to begin on May 6, though it will be behind closed doors and away from the eyes of the press. The press centre itself is to open on May 10 while fans and the media can finally enjoy and watch the performers live at the dress rehearsals which begin on the same day.
Each country will have a total of five rehearsals (two standard rehearsals and three dress rehearsals). Furthermore, each country will spend up to 30 minutes per rehearsal. In order to cut costs, the EBU will cram as many rehearsals as it can into one day. They are scheduled to begin at midday and will go on until 23.00.
