SVT is almost ready for Eurovision in Malmö. Preparations are still taking the control in the Swedish city, where the stage is in phase of construction yet and also the press centre and urban decor. Late November, it was announced that the broadcaster would need hundreds volunteers for the Eurovision experience.
These volunteers are in charge of helping the press, delegations and welcoming all the fans, who are gathering to the host city of the event. Over 900 applications have been received and it was decided that an impressive number of 500 people will be doing that.
They will be divided into groups, available for Euroclub, press centre, Euro Village, security, transport and the most important: the 39 delegations, who are required to be good at a few languages, socially skilled and experienced, as Vian Mirza, head of volunteers, reported. Also, schedules will be really important during the time spent by the delegations in Malmö.
